Villa Aurelia sits on the Janiculum Hill, above the rooftops of Rome, with views that stretch across the city towards St. Peter’s and beyond. It is one of those venues that stops you the moment you arrive, not because of any single detail, but because of the way everything comes together. The gardens, the architecture, the light. There is a quality to the late afternoon here that we have not found anywhere else in Rome.

Monica and Hal’s wedding was, in every sense, a fashion event. Monica wore three extraordinary dresses throughout the day — each one a different statement, each one completely her own. From the ceremony in the gardens to the dinner and the dancing, she moved through the celebration with the kind of confidence and joy that makes our work feel effortless. Hal, for his part, never took his eyes off her.

The ceremony took place in the gardens of Villa Aurelia as the sun dropped behind the Janiculum, casting a warm, golden light across the venue and everyone in it. What followed was a night of dancing, laughter, and the particular energy that happens when a group of people who love each other are given an extraordinary setting and told to celebrate.
It was one of those weddings we will not forget.
